Gary Palmer – Head of Centre
Gary took over the helm at Cobnor in January 2013. He has worked in the outdoor education industry for nearly 20 years. His experience covers many disciplines, including instructing in sailing, paddling, powerboating, climbing and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award training. Gary’s two passions are the outdoors and travelling.
Adam Priddle – Senior Instructor
Adam left a career as a soldier in the Army in 2014 to become a Senior Instructor at Cobnor. His last job, before leaving the army, was as the principal of an Army Sailing Association centre in Germany. He is an RYA Advanced Sailing and Powerboat Instructor. Although enjoying his new environment in Chichester Harbour, Adam is extremely proud of his Welsh origins.
Liz Wilson – Office Manager
Liz has run the office at Cobnor Activities Centre for over 20 years. She is a Practising State Registered Nurse and also sits as a magistrate. She has lived with her ever-growing family in the village of Chidham for many years and is a Governor of Chidham School. Liz is a keen cyclist, both in the UK and overseas.
Miranda Powley – Office Manager
Miranda grew up in Bosham, dinghy sailing in Chichester harbour. Following a management career in the retail and IT industries, she joined Liz in managing the office at Cobnor 2011. Prior to returning to Bosham in 2003, Miranda lived and worked in Dorking, where she was a school governor at a primary school.
Pete Davies – Bosun
Pete brings a lifetime of engineering and boat building experience to the team at Cobnor. He has lived in the local area all his life and knows the waters of Chichester Harbour and the land around Cobnor like the back of his hand. In his spare time, Pete can be seen riding his beloved motor cycle and occasionally spends time building his loft conversion.
Grant Worle – Site Coordinator
Grant’s many years of experience running a caravan site has proved an invaluable addition to the Cobnor team. Grant is willing to turn his hand to anything from checking the electrics to changing the sheets. Grant is kept busy at home with a young toddler, who sets the rules of the household.
