Chichester man to sail in Clipper 2011-12 Round the World Yacht Race

Olly Osborne has been selected as a skipper for the Clipper 2011-12 Round the World Yacht Race, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year.
The event, which begins in August, is the longest of its kind at 40,000 miles. The fleet, made up of 68ft racing yachts, will stop at 15 ports around the world before arriving back in the UK in July 2012.

The Boat Project is a 30ft seafaring vessel that’s being lovingly crafted from wooden items donated by locals. It will become a living archive of people’s stories and memories and a really fascinating piece of West Sussex history.

Class “A” corporate team building at Cobnor

This month Cobnor Activities Centre had Chichester business a451 join them for some corporate team building in the form of kayaking. This was a great success and meant that the search engine marketing specialists not only went away with smiles on their faces but also each gained a BCU 1 Star Paddlesport Award under their belt.

Cobnor Activities Centre’s chuffed with South Downs National Park

Cobstock rocked

On Saturday 30th May, 2009, I attended an excellent local festival and had a brilliant time, to say the very least. Cobstock, held at Cobnor Activities Centre, near Chichester, West Sussex, was a charity event that helped to raise money for the Centre and was kindly arranged by two locals (including mum of the Centre’s own Robin and Lois O’Connel).
