Calling all keen kayakers! Cobnor Activities Centre has just introduced a new kayaking trip to its scheduled courses list on Saturday 18th September.
This half day of white water skills is designed for those who are currently pursuing their BCU 3 Star White Water Kayak Award, and is necessary to fulfil as part of the skills section.
As we will need to load the kayaks on to the trailer…

Cobnor Activities Centre’s Gold Duke of Edinburgh (D of E) expedition 2010 took place around the Isle of Wight, and it was a roaring success. Four keen sea kayakers, and valued members of staff, paddled the circumference of the island and completed the 60 miles over four days.
They started at Lee on Solent where they visited the Coast Guard’s Station in order to hand in a passage plan for the trip.…

This month Cobnor Activities Centre had Chichester business a451 join them for some corporate team building in the form of kayaking. This was a great success and meant that the search engine marketing specialists not only went away with smiles on their faces but also each gained a BCU 1 Star Paddlesport Award under their belt.
We asked Carla Holcombe of a451 to give us her thoughts on time spent…

We were lucky enough to have ideal weather this past weekend for this year’s Cobstock Festival, much to the delight of guests, staff and the event organisers.
The fun began on Friday night when guests arrived to listen to music from 7.00pm. but Saturday brought a whole day of activities including sailing, kayaking, canoeing, climbing, abseiling, archery and trips around Chichester Harbour in Cobnor Activities Centre’s specially designed Chairboat. The…

Spring and summer are always an important time for Cobnor Activities Centre with the year’s outdoor education courses starting again and after training hard through the gloomy winter months the staff are now ready to spring back into action…
Spring has most definitely sprung down at Cobnor with the birth of beautiful black lambs on…

As well as all the water-based activities, such as sailing, kayaking and powerboating, Cobnor Activities Centre offers excellent land-based activities, such as orienteering and mountain biking, and we’re chuffed to bits that one of our favourite local spots is to become a National Park this summer.
It’s been decided that the South Downs will gain National Park status, which is great news seeing as it’s such a beautiful place to…

On Saturday 30th May, 2009, I attended an excellent local festival and had a brilliant time, to say the very least. Cobstock, held at Cobnor Activities Centre, near Chichester, West Sussex, was a charity event that helped to raise money for the Centre and was kindly arranged by two locals (including mum of the Centre’s own Robin and Lois O’Connel).
Tickets went on sale in April for £20 per person,…
