We were lucky enough to have ideal weather this past weekend for this year’s Cobstock Festival, much to the delight of guests, staff and the event organisers.
The fun began on Friday night when guests arrived to listen to music from 7.00pm. but Saturday brought a whole day of activities including sailing, kayaking, canoeing, climbing, abseiling, archery and trips around Chichester Harbour in Cobnor Activities Centre’s specially designed Chairboat. The…

As well as all the water-based activities, such as sailing, kayaking and powerboating, Cobnor Activities Centre offers excellent land-based activities, such as orienteering and mountain biking, and we’re chuffed to bits that one of our favourite local spots is to become a National Park this summer.
It’s been decided that the South Downs will gain National Park status, which is great news seeing as it’s such a beautiful place to…

Last week our multi-activity centre’s very own Pete Alner visited the Royal Observatory Greenwich and the National Maritime Museum; a must-do for all you sailing and natural navigation enthusiasts. The Royal Observatory is home of the…

Cobnor Activities Centre is in the middle of a major building and re-furbishment project which will include ‘green energy’ solar heating for all the hot water and a ground source heat pump for space heating the new building.
The project will transform Cobnor Activities Centre, which is used primarily by children and…

This weekend just gone revealed two of Chichester Design’s finest in a charitable light when they gave up their time to help out at Cobnor Activities Centre’s annual Family Fun Day.
Kate helped her other half, Pete, to organise the event and they even got her mum stuck in during the week making oodles of yummy cakes to sell. On the day, Kate ran the catering caravan where lucky visitors…

On Saturday 30th May, 2009, I attended an excellent local festival and had a brilliant time, to say the very least. Cobstock, held at Cobnor Activities Centre, near Chichester, West Sussex, was a charity event that helped to raise money for the Centre and was kindly arranged by two locals (including mum of the Centre’s own Robin and Lois O’Connel).
Tickets went on sale in April for £20 per person,…
