‘Big Society Fund’ Backs Cobnor Activities Centre

We are pleased to announce that a ‘Big Society Fund’, set-up by West Sussex County Council, will be backing four projects designed to support local communities, including our very own Cobnor Activities Centre.

Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Awards Ceremony at Cobnor

This weekend Cobnor Activities Centre was host to The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Gold Award Ceremony 2011 for West Sussex. Gold achievers from all over the county collected their awards and enjoyed an afternoon of multi-activities, despite the not-so-clement British weather.

Goodwood Area Schools visit Cobnor Activities Centre

This week Cobnor Activities Centre received a visit from Goodwood Area Schools pupils who enjoyed taking part in a bit of outdoor education.

The Goodwood Area Schools (GAS) initiative is part of the able pupil programme. Cobnor Activities Centre comes fifth in Charlton Chase

Chichester boy hits archery target for West Sussex

Cobnor Activities Centre was pleased to see the story in last week’s Chichester Observer, which told of Chichester’s 13-year-old Jamie Cole, who has been called up as a reserve to the England junior squad for a European archery event.

Jamie recently scored 1,266 points in Horsham, winning him the county under-18 champion’s title. Before that he set a new Sussex record score of 1,274, winning the under-14 class and under-18…
