Job Title:    Business Development Officer 

Location:           Cobnor Activities Centre Trust, Cobnor Point, Chidham PO18 8TE

Reports to:        Chief Operations Officer 

Salary:               £23,000 to £25,000

Contract:           Full-time permanent

Experience:      Recent graduate, or equivalent level, with an interest in business administration 

Job Role Summary: 

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, your role will be to assist the senior management team in the growth of the organisation, in line with our existing aims and values. This will primarily focus on all aspects of marketing, support introduction of new opportunities, and championing the CRM software. 
 

Customer Relationship Management
  • Work with senior management team and Education Development Officer to implement the marketing strategy to improve the customer lifecycle journey for both our schools and groups and our individual customers. 
  • Ensure timely web marketing updates and reactive promotion and maintain an up-to-date website throughout season and campaign cycles.
  • Manage email campaigns and customer communications, including automated communications, from initial briefs to content, targeting, campaign deployment and reporting. 
  • Identify opportunities to keep the audience for Cobnor Activities Centre Trust (CACT) messaging engaged across all direct marketing channels - email, post, Social or on-site.
  • Champion our CRM system (Cinolla) and database, ensuring we achieve maximum potential from it, to assist in the efficient operation of the organisation, its staff and customers. Work with the senior management team to analyse and create reports, highlighting results and propose implementation of learnings.
  • Proactively gather market intelligence and insights.
     
New Opportunities
  • Assist the Chief Activities Officer in identifying new opportunities for our products for individuals and families, including the development and implementation of the promotional plan for these and the creation of any marketing materials, possibly outsourcing to external agencies where appropriate.
  • Assisting the Education Development Manager to identify new opportunities for our schools and groups, including the development and implementation of the promotional plan for these and the creation of any marketing materials, possibly outsourcing to external agencies where appropriate. 
General 
  • Assist the operations team where necessary to ensure a smooth journey for all current and potential customers and provide the necessary reports.

Technical Skills & Knowledge 

  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word competency.
  • Competency to understand databases and an aptitude to learn new systems
  • Understanding of how performance metrics and analytics tools to make data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

  • Degree level (or equivalent experience).
