Your support helps young people develop life skills

Help Us Build a Fully Accessible High Ropes Facility!

CACT is currently aiming to raise £50,000 to create an inclusive high ropes course that will feature climbing, crate stacking, a gladiator challenge, and Jacob’s Ladder. These activities aren’t just fun—they develop vital life skills like teamwork, communication, trust, and leadership.

Our new facility will be accessible to everyone, with adaptable equipment to ensure participants of all ages and abilities, including those with physical disabilities, can take part. The funds will help us:

  • Build the new structure
  • Train our team to meet EU and UK safety standards
  • Purchase state-of-the-art PPE, including specialized equipment for accessibility

Currently, climbing is our third most popular activity at CACT, but it isn’t accessible to everyone. The new system will change that. It will also provide progression opportunities for returning participants, including those working towards their Duke of Edinburgh Award or GCSE PE qualifications.

We need your support to reach our goal and continue empowering young people. For £100, you can choose a motivational message to be engraved along the course—an inspiring reminder for participants to push boundaries and achieve their best.

Together, we can make this vision a reality. Donate today and make a difference!

What is your money helping us buy?

Climbing System – £41,400

The main climbing frame, will be constructed by Technical Outdoor Solutions, and will be built to last over 25 years, and to the latest EN and UK Standards. As part of the cost, the constructor will ensure we have site specific training, as well as the latest knowledge to inspect the course for defects.

As well as the main structure, we need get helmets, harness, rope and metal work to ensure we can run our sessions safely. This includes access equipment to ensure staff can safely inspect the structure, as well as accessibility kit to ensure our activities will be open to all!

It is important that we limit access to the new facility, and so we will be putting up safety fencing and signage.

We need to make sure all our staff team are fully up to date with training for this new activity. While many of us have run high ropes before, it is important to ensure we dust off the cobwebs, and run our new activities to the highest standards.
