Learning outside the classroom experiences, designed specifically to be reinforced back in the classroom and supporting your pupils educational requirements. Many children find that learning outside the classroom increases their desire to learn which, in turn, can lead to increased confidence and improved outcomes and a willingness to adopt a more healthy lifestyle. Duke of Edinburgh 

Cobnor offers Duke of Edinburgh Bronze & Silver Expeditions as well as Gold Residientials 
We provide Bronze and Silver expeditions, Sailing or Canoeing in Chichester Harbour and surrounding areas. Walking options are also available in multiple locations throughout Hampshire and West Sussex.
Fully qualified instructors under our Approved Activity Provider license. If the team choose to canoe or sail, they will be coached before the expeditions, to an appropriate skill level in the mode of transport they would be using.
All Kit provided, including tents, roll mats, rucksacks/dry bags and barrels and cooking equipment.
Area of outstanding natural beauty and scientific interest in which to enjoy their D of E expedition, with plenty of options for which to give your expedition a good aim.
Bronze expeditions will include expedition training, craft specific coaching days and qualifying expedition
Silver expeditions will include expedition training, practice expedition, craft specific coaching days and qualifying expedition

Gold Duke of Edinburgh Residential - £390.00 - 5 days

We offer Gold Duke of Edinburgh residentials with great opportunities to gain a qualification and new skills.
The 5 day residential trip would offer the participants the chance to take part in activities such as raft building, climbing and low ropes as well as gaining a first aid qualification and a personal sailing award.
The chance to enjoy your residential and make new friends all whilst in an area of outstanding natural beauty and scientific interest.
Onsite indoor accommodation included along with great food and evening activities.
Fully qualified and friendly instructors under our Approved Activity Provider license.

Accommodation

Schools will have their own accommodation building or camping facilities and will not share the accommodation area with other schools. We are situated in a rural private property area, accessed at the end of a private drive.

Food 

Our professional kitchen provides fresh, tasty & nutritious meals, cooked from scratch on site for a healthy, active lifestyle Special dietary requirements catered for Top 5 Rating from Food Standards Agency. Please see the Sample Menu Download. We require all dietary information to be with us 2 weeks before your group arrives to us. 

Activities 

We can design activity program that is bespoke to your schools learning outcomes.
A popular outcome is for students to have the opportunity to work towards their sailing RYA Youth Stage 1 during their Monday-Friday residential.

Out of the classroom days 

Our Out of the Classroom Team Building Days for Schools encourage group work that helps improve communication, creativity, teamwork, and determination skills. If your school can’t come to us, we can come to you! 
Our qualified instructors can offer activities such as archery, low ropes, problem solving and initiative exercises, but we can design a program to best suit your learning outcomes.
