Creating Opportunities. Building Confidence. Changing Futures.

Cobnor exists to help young people feel trusted, capable, and hopeful about their future.

Through outdoor challenge, long-term relationships, and meaningful opportunities, we support young people — particularly those facing disadvantage — to build confidence, resilience, skills, and a sense of belonging.

For many young people, Cobnor becomes more than a place to visit. It becomes somewhere they feel safe, valued, and able to grow.

How Cobnor creates change

Belonging & Trust

Young people arrive at Cobnor feeling welcomed, respected, and included.

We create safe environments where young people feel able to be themselves, try new things, and build trusted relationships with staff and peers.

Through sailing, water-based activities, teamwork, and outdoor challenge, young people experience responsibility, achievement, and personal growth.

They learn that they are capable of more than they thought.

As confidence grows, young people begin to see themselves differently.

They develop resilience, self-belief, communication skills, leadership qualities, and a stronger sense of identity.

Exposure to new environments, careers, and experiences helps young people expand what they believe is possible for their future.

Young people begin to see pathways into education, employment, volunteering, and leadership.

Many young people continue their journey with Cobnor over a number of years.

Some return as volunteers, apprentices, or instructors — creating visible progression pathways and positive role models for future participants.
