After what seems like forever, we’re excited about being able to offer an amended summer programme. Our aim is both to support parents and engage young people through outdoor and adventurous activities within the wonderful setting of Chichester Harbour. From 20th July, we are looking forward to welcoming you all back to share your adventure with Cobnor Activities Centre Trust. During the last few months, we’ve been busy adapting our offer, making the Centre as safe as we possibly can, for both staff and customers in this crazy world we’re living in at the moment.
Some people will notice a few changes across the Centre, some of which will be temporary, others which will stay with us a lot longer. Whilst we have unfortunately had to cancel our summer residential programmes for children, we will continue to offer a limited number of multi-activity day camps, RYA sailing courses, Canoe and Kayak hire and our family adventure days. In addition, for summer 2020, we are offering self-catering accommodation for friends and families to access and enjoy the beautiful Chichester Harbour. .
Here at Cobnor Activities Centre we recognise the importance of the environment and being outside, which has proven beneficial to both physical and mental well-being. Some activities will be delivered slightly differently (including sailing and climbing) to maintain social distancing. We are confident that this will not affect the quality or safety of our activities, allowing both individual children and families to continue to enjoy them.
We are open in a time of uncertainty and we hope things will gradually change and improve for us all, either through the lifting of government restrictions, or because we find a better way of doing things. The staff team have moved mountains to get to this point to be able to deliver a reduced summer programme - which has been a huge learning experience for us all – so please bear with us while we find our new groove and embark on this new adventure together.
We look forward to seeing each and every one of you this summer to share in your new adventures and one day we will look back at this epic and worrying time, which we are all starting to emerge from.
