Cobnor Activities Centre Trust is an independent charity and licensed provider of adventure activities, based in the heart of Chichester Harbour. We work to enhance life experiences for young people by providing high quality outdoor experiences and personal development, through our activities and educational programmes.
After recent strategic planning and planned investment to widen our audience and services, we will recruit for a variety of positions (both permanent and fixed term) to support the development and future growth of the charity.

We wish to recruit Activities Instructors on fixed term contracts from April to September 2021 (with the possibility of extension).
Salary Range: £16,000 to £19,000 per annum pro-rata, 40 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends, based on age, qualifications, and experience .
The job purpose is to lead in the daily delivery of all activities and educational programmes at Cobnor Activities Centre, ensuring that all activity sessions are delivered safely and to a high and professional standard, reflecting the Trust's mission and purpose.
Applicants must hold a range of NGB qualifications, to include at least 1 of the following (ideally one watersports) qualifications with at least one year's subsequent experience in an activity centre:
· Minimum British Canoeing Level 1coach with tidal experience
· Minimum RYA Dinghy Instructor with tidal experience
· Archery (GNAS)
· Climbing (CWA or equivalent)
The successful candidate will have the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative. Additional qualifications and experience in Low Ropes, Mountain Biking and team challenges are beneficial to the role.

We recruit a number of casual staff to join our team, from sailors to climbers to paddlers, and those wishing to start out in the industry. All candidates require enthusiasm, professionalism and a can-do attitude, whilst able to complete all the Trust's recruitment requirements to include DBS check.

We hold an Induction/Training week during the Easter holidays (0930 to 1630 Monday to Thursday) and lunch will be provided. Over the day, you will have the opportunity to trained and assessed to deliver our site-specific activities, to include low ropes, problem solving, Aeroball and Orienteering. The training and induction days offer an opportunity for both qualified and non-qualified people to be trained and inducted for working at CACT and are a mandatory part of working at CACT. There is no formal interview, just an opportunity to meet a professional team of like-minded people, working in a wonderful location.
