Sailing for Families and Groups

An opportunity to blow away the cobwebs and top up on your sailing skills, getting back on the water, in single or double handed dinghies.

This course is aimed at groups of friends and family, up to a maximum of 5 people and will run over two days. 

Participants will have proven sailing experience whether sailing with Cobnor Activities Centre or through evidence of a RYA Stage One or Level One award.

Over the two days participants will receive instruction linked  to the RYA syllabus, enabling them to improve their personal sailing. The session will be led by a senior member of staff and all participants will be asked to support the Centre with strict social distancing and personal hygiene to include regularly washing of hands and sanitising of equipment.

New: Keelboat Sailing for Families and groups of up to 5 people

We are delighted to add  some exciting additions to our fleet - Hawk 20 Keelboats. 

These wonderful, spacious and comfortable dinghies allow our professional instructors to take families  - or groups of up to 5 people - safely on the water. 

You can choose to hire the Hawk (plus your own personal RYA Instructor) for a half  - or a full  - day. Depending on the weather, we could go to locations such as East Head, Dell Quay or Hayling Island. Each boat comes with a qualified instructor to provide tuition, or to chauffeur you about all day! Bring a packed lunch if you have booked for the full day. 

The price is for the Hawk plus instructor, regardless of the number of people (maximum 5). Half a day costs £130 and a full day costs £250. 

The is an exciting opportunity to see Chichester Harbour at its best - on the water in your own boat!

If you are unable to make the dates in our programme - we can now also offer private 'Hire a Hawk' sessions up until 01 October 2020. Call the office (01243 57279) to book a convenient half day (£150) or full day (£285). 

Just Sailing Days

Want to get out on the water with your family?

Book a boat for the day and join us for a sailing trip around the harbour.

Depending on the weather, we could go to locations such as East Head, Dell Quay, Hayling Island or Emsworth. Each boat comes with a qualified Instructor to provide tuition, or to chauffeur you about all day!

Bring a packed lunch and enjoy the day.

Cost: £150 per boat (Maximum 3 people per boat, or 4 people - if two children are under 10).

With our expanded fleet, we can now offer up to 5 people in a boat at an extra cost of £25 per person for the additional people. Please call the office  - 01243 572791 - if you would like to book a larger boat.
