People of all ages can learn to sail at Cobnor. Whether you are a complete beginner, or you wish to update your previous sailing skills, as you are feeling a bit rusty - there is something for everyone.
Either book on one of our scheduled brochure courses, or call us for 1:1 private tuition in our fleet of Hartleys, Wayfarers, RS Qubas, or RS Fevas. You can attain qualifications following the RYA National Sailing Levels, or simply get out on the water and enjoy the beauty of Chichester Harbour.
Adults on the water
Designed to encourage adults to get out and about on the waters of Chichester Harbour during term time mornings, or evenings, these sessions are specially designed to provide an active, fun and supportive environment, for adults of all sailing abilities, at an affordable price. Starting in April they are a great way to start your sailing this season.
We have courses running either on Tuesday mornings or we have a Wednesday evening programme running from 1830-2030 for four weeks.
Early Summer Sailing for Adults
This Adult Sailing week offers you an opportunity to hone your skills and spend more time on the water with full instruction, and to work towards your next RYA qualification. The course starts Monday 13 May 2019 and you can do a minimum of two days (£140) and add additional days (or the whole week!) for just £70 per day. The course is recommended for anyone wishing to sail, regardless of experience. Each individual will work towards their own goals and possibly towards RYA certification. Expert tuition will be provided and sailing will be done in a mix of single and double handed boats.
National Sailing Scheme
At Cobnor we follow the RYA Syllabus for all our Adult Sailing Courses. We pride ourselves in providing an extremely high standard of tuition.
“We were both amazed and impressed by the competence and maturity of the instructors, especially given their age. For the young and the old learners they were inspirational.”Monica MacKinnon, Sailing Course sponsored by Sport England, July 2012.
